Home is where the heart is

I am a little bit late on my April blog and for a very good reason. On a personal note:  Last week my mom had emergency heart surgery in Michigan, USA.  My daughter and I flew to my childhood home in time for the surgery and we are there now with family.  Mom is still in the hospital but is recovering a little more each day.  I am so grateful we could be here and that she is on the road to recovery.  My best friend.

On a career note:  the ALL commercial I did is still airing in the United States and my daughter saw it on TV here the other day for the first time. The PATHE commercial / film MAAK HET GROOTS I was  in was nominated for a LAMP award and is showing on the big screen again in the Netherlands.  The film ALBERTA is still showing in the Netherlands and has been submitted for Golden Calf Awards. We are waiting to hear if it will be nominated.   Walibi Theme Parks opened the  Brain Trip – Virtual Reality Attraction Film this last week, where my voice talents are used as the ADR voice for the leading role of Lucy in the film.  And the the radio show GEEN NOOT IS ONSCHULDIG is airing now in the Netherlands on Radio 4/ AvroTros.  I voiced the roles of Ivy Fraisier, Dorothy Beenhouwer & Female Commercial Voice.

Wishing you all a wonderful day.  I am grateful to be home with my Mom and family and will write more soon.

See you 'round!

Marnie
